The US State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to Mexico of MH-60R Multi-Mission Helicopters for an estimated cost of $1,20 billion. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency has notified the Congress of this possible sale on 18 April.
The Government of Mexico has requested to buy eight MH-60R Multi-Mission Helicopters equipped with T-700 GE 401 C engines with four engines as spares, APS-153(V) Multi-Mode radars, AN/APX-123 Identification Friend or Foe transponders, AN/AAS-44C Multi-Spectral Targeting Systems Forward Looking Infrared Systems, Embedded Global Positioning System/Inertial Navigation Systems, AGM-114 Hellfire missiles, Advanced Precision Kill Weapons System (APKWS) II and Mk -54 Lightweight Hybrid Torpedoes along with some other systems, munitions and technical and logistics support services.
