Turkish defence industry’s leading power ROKETSAN has annonunced that anti-ship missile Atmaca(Hawk) has reached the stage of mass production.
Interviewing C4 Defence, Murat İkinci, General Manager of ROKETSAN said “Our Atmaca missile has passed dozens of tests so far, it is now at the stage of in mass production. In 2021, we will start making ATMACA deliveries to our warships of our Naval Forces Command. “
“There is tremendous interest from abroad for Atmaca even before the delivery. Many countries have already requested to meet with us for Atmaca. It will make remarkable contribution to Turkey’s future and economy.” Ikinci added.
Ikinci has also told that Atmaca will be developed further.
“Our work on the coastal defense and land-to-land version of Atmaca missile has also started. We consider that they will provide significant contribution into Turkish defence industry’s strenght and expertise.” he said.
Atmaca is a high precision, long range, surface-to- surface, precision strike anti-ship missile which can be integrated to patrol boats, frigates and corvettes.
Atmaca has the capabilities of target selection, target update, re-targeting, 3D mission planning, mission cancellation.
It also has low radar signature.
