Turkish Undersecretariat for Defence Industries (SSM) announced today on its official Twitter account that the Korkut-D low-altitude air defence system, produced for the Naval Forces, has been successfully tested in accordance with the needs of Turkish Armed Forces.
The system has two 35-millimeter guns produced by MKEK. Korkut-D will be able to destroy air threats, including cruise and anti-ship missiles. KORKUT, which also has an automatic ammunition loading system, can make one thousand shots per minute.
