Korea Eyes Turkish Market for T-50

The Republic of Korea takes decisive steps towards improving cooperation in the military field with Turkey and training of Turkish pilots in the Republic of Korea. In this context, the chief of staff of the Republic of Korea Air Force Gen. Lee Wang-ke will visit Turkish Armed Forces Chief of Staff Hulusi Akar in Turkey.

The country, which previously inducted KT-1 aircraft to its inventory as a basic trainer just like Hürkuş, is now trying to create a market for T-50 training aircraft that it jointly produces with Lockheed Martin.

Turkey plans to make the national jet trainer in this field. He works on a project called TAI Hürjet.
