India has officially approved  the medium-range surface-to-air missile (MRSAM) system procurement from Israel. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has agreed to a deal covering production of a MRSAM system by Israeli Aerospace Industries (IAI) and India’s Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). According to the information provided, except for subsystems developed by DRDO, the IP rights of the missile system will belong to IAI. However, the production of the missile system, which is to be developed by 80 percent of India's national sources, will be carried out in this country again.
