Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran Seyed Kazem Sajjadpour has made important statements about global and regional policy and Turkish-Iranian relations at the Istanbul Security Conference organized by TASAM between 1-3 November.

Speaking on the last day of the conference, Sajjadpour explained today's international and regional relations with his unique ABC approach. Sajjadpour said A stands for Analysis of Clarity, B for Blame-game Epidemic and C for as Cooperational Containment. 

Regarding the analysis of clarity, Deputy Minister stated that global powers were not open to regional powers; the wording used in this hyper-linking, hyper-transparency, hyper-chaos environment has become more important every day. Emphasizing that a global hegemony was no longer possible in such an environment, Sajjadpour said they did not understand what the US was trying to do; that they doubt that even themselves even understand it, and they called it as Trump Syndrome: The wrong use of language and style could change the direction of international politics.

The Deputy Minister claimed that an outbreak of accusation covered the whole world, especially with a move led by US President Trump, saying that Russia played this game too; the think-tanks and the press organs that were financed by those who have important missions in this game. Sajjadpour stated that the countries of the region, especially Iran, did not come from space; they have been ruling in the region for centuries and would not give up. Sajjadpour added that the blame-game was simple but dangerous; it could cause conflicts and it was not a correct approach for everybody to blame Iran.

Professor Sajjadpour, who explained that while a part of the region was in a tedious arms race, the other part was being embargoed and these two situations were complete opposites, said that the relations between Iran and Turkey were multifaceted and if the bilateral cooperation and the level of relations increase, a peaceful future can be achieved, sending a clear message to the Turkish authorities.
