Iran has officially inaugurated the production line of the new Sayyad-3 long-range surface-to-air missile (SAM) during a 22 July ceremony attended by the Minister of Defence Hossein Dehghan. The Iranian Ministry of Defence (MoD) then released the first high-quality images of the missile. Dehghan said the Sayyad-3 has a maximum range of 120 km and a maximum altitude of 27 km while featuring a combined active radar, semi-active radar, and infrared guidance system with a capability of dealing with all kinds of electronic warfare.
