The 6th Defence Port Turkey South Asia fair has started. The event, which was attended by delegations from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka was held virtually for the first time.

Naval systems were the main agenda item at the webinar, which was divided into ground forces theme on the first day. C4Defence Editor-in-Chief Özgür Ekşi moderated the Bangladesh navy commander, Admiral Mahbub-ul Islam, addressed the country's work on marine systems at the event.

 Admiral Islam said Bangladesh’s shipyards were used during the Ottoman period. Bangladesh is open to offers from Turkish companies in its tender for the new patrol boat project.
