Beijing has announced a new development in Chengdu Aerospace Corporation (CAC) production related to a fifth-generation J-20 fighter jet.
The Global Times wrote that the J-20, which China conceals its technical specifications, has dropped 17 “enemy” aircraft in recent training.
The J-20 news from China came after five Rafale jets purchased by India from France were included in the Indian Air Force (IAF) inventory. Experts raised the question of how the J-20 destroyed 17 simulated enemy aircraft because the standard maximum gun load was six missiles and the platform did not have a backup weapon.
Starting in January 2020, the J-20 jets are known to have begun training in a real-time combat scenario.
