According to reports in the French press, the Indonesian Ministry of Defense has signed an agreement with France to purchase 6 Dassault Rafales.
Indonesia has been looking for a new combat aircraft since last year and has chosen the Rafale as an option accordingly.
This search was concluded recently for now and Indonesia agreed with France to purchase 6 Rafale fighter jets.
French Defense Minister Florence Parly stated that they want to expand their cooperation with Indonesia and sell more aircraft.
Indonesian officials, on the other hand, noted that despite this purchase, they are still interested in the US F-15EX Eagle II.
Rafale is advertised by its manufacturer Dassault as “the only omnirole aircraft in the world”.
All ammunition in the French Air Force inventory can be used on the aircraft.
