The indigenous directional infrared countermeasures system (DIRCM), which disrupts the enemy's infrared signals to stop guided missiles reaching aircraft equipped with the system, was tested in July a successful outcome.
DIRCM is being developed by the South Korean defence company Hanwha Systems and will be used on C-130H transport aircraft.
