July 4, 2017Indigenous Corvette ‘TCG Kınalıada’ Launched
Built under Turkey's MİLGEM project, the fourth and last corvette TCG Kınalıada (F-514) was launched today during a ceremony held in Tuzla, Istanbul. The welding ceremony of TCG Kınalıada corvette was held on 18 June 2016 at the Istanbul Shipyard Command.
Indigenous Ada Class corvettes of 99.5 meters length were designed to carry out various missions such as surface warfare, anti-submarine warfare, air defence, surveillance and reconnaisance, command-control, asymmetric defence warfare missions.
