Organised by the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation (TSKGV), IDEF’19 has set eyes on a hard-to-break record this year. Incorporating most of the major defence companies, the Foundation also follows closely the latest developments in this sector. We asked Deputy General Manager Sadık Piyade to share details about the Foundation’s activities and evolution as well as his opinions on the sector’s growth and development of the fair.

C4Defence: Can you briefly describe the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation and its activities?

TSKGV Deputy General Manager Sadık Piyade: Turkish Armed Forces Foundation (TSKGV) was founded in 26 September 1987 in accordance with the “Turkish Armed Forces Foundation Law” No. 3388 uniting Land, Naval and Air Forces Foundations. From this date onwards, steps were taken in a much stronger way towards a national defence industry.
