Spanish defense and engineering company Escribano is modernizing its first three Hyundai Rotem 6X6 UGV vehicles with GUARDIAN-ASPIS.
GUARDIAN-ASPIS is the lightest remote-controlled weapon station on the market.
This 2-axis stabilized system, which weighs less than 90 kg, can work in both day and night conditions thanks to Escribano’s state-of-the-art electro-optical sensors.
Various machine guns from 5.56 mm to 7.62 mm can be mounted on ASPIS.
The company has specifically designed GUARDIAN-ASPIS to be integrated into different types of platforms and tools, turning it into a cost-effective defense system against asymmetric threats.
The South Korean Army is testing the system.
