According to Defencepoint.tr, Hellenic Army will receive the first batch of US surplus OH-58D Kiowa Warrior in the first quarter of 2019. Helicopters were acquired by Greece from the US Army for 44.15 million dollars. According to daily, components have already begun to arrive at the warehouses of the Hellenic Army in Agios Stefanos at the premises of 651 ABYP, while a helicopter has already been painted with Greek colours. Helicopters will be equipped with Mast Mounted Sight system above the rotor blade and they will be in monitoring duty on Aegean Sea.
