Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed with Australian company RJE Global in support of the Royal Australian Navy’s (RAN's) new SEA 5000 frigate program, GE's LM2500 gas turbine modules and some components will be manufactured and assembled in Australia. The nine-ship SEA 5000 Future Frigate Program will replace RAN's aging Anzac class frigates.
