The German Air Force has sent a written request for classified data from the US military on the F-35 fighter jet, according to Reuters. Germany stated in the letter that government had not yet authorized a procurement program and was not committed to any particular aircraft to replace its current aircraft.
The country will carry out in-depth evaluation of market available solutions, including the F-35, later this year.
