The crisis, fuelled by a ship in service with the Russian intelligence to open fire to coast patrol ships around the Sea of Azov in the Black Sea, should be regarded as the biggest risk for European security.

One should also take note of Russian leader Putin’s “growing uneasiness” with this process and his efforts to rein in the crisis to prevent its culmination from an ordinary tension between Ukraine and Russia into a Russian-NATO confrontation.
