September 7, 2017France To Arm Its UAVs
France decided to begin operating armed drones in near future, according to French Defence Minister Florence Parly. The country will arm its surveillance and intelligence UAVs with precision guided weapons from 2019. Parly said the decision will initially apply only to the six unarmed Reaper UAVs that France bought from the United States and added that the armed drones would have endurance, discretion, surveillance and strike capability at the right place and the right moment.
