Russia's new corvette RFNS Gromky made its first launch.
RFNS Gromky, who based in the Russian Pacific Fleet, completed his first operational launch test. At the Uran Shooting Field in the Sea of Japan, the platform fired a Uran cruise missile. After the 40-kilometer flight, the missile hit the target drifting on the sea.
Depending on its variant, the Kh-35 Uran missiles can reach a maximum range of 260 kilometres, weighing 480 kilograms. The 4.4 meter-long system carries 145 kilograms of high explosive warheads.
