Romania is to purchase the fifth batch of PIRANHA III 8×8 wheeled armored vehicles from General Dynamics European Land Systems. The relevant contract was signed on 30 December, 2016, under part of the Romanian Army’s modernization plan. The country is operating PIRANHA vehicles since 2006.
