The first of three defence and aerospace exhibitions organised in Istanbul in September took place at the World Trade Center Istanbul located nearby the Ataturk Airport.

Organised under the auspices and responsibility of Istanbul Defense Aerospace and Space Cluster Association, SAHA EXPO Defense, Aviation and Space Industry is designed as a biannual event to welcome any company featuring in the area of defence. With this characteristic, SAHA EXPO resembled a mini version of the IDEF’19 International Defence Industry Fair to be launched in April. On the hand, judging by the participants, the major advantage of such an event comes to the fore: it is most probably that small-scale, growth-seeking companies with an eye to avoiding the costly publicity budgets for the IDEF have favoured participation in this relatively modest activity.
