November 2, 2018Engine for TF-X Will be Bought From USA
Turkish indigenous fighter program TF-X runs on its track. The twin engine aircraft will fly with GE F110 family engine at prototype phase. C4Defence has learned that engines are expected to be bought from USA. In Turkey, GE has partnership with TUSAS forming TEI. TEI manufacturesF110 family engines for F-16 aircraft. Engines are going to be either F110-GE-129 or F110-GE-132.
