Russia responded positively to Turkey regarding acceleration of S-400 missile system deliveries. 

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, “We are responding positively to a request of the Turkish colleagues to speed up the delivery.” after a meeting in Moscow with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Mevlut Cavusoglu. 

Moscow and Ankara signed a contract for the supply of S-400 systems in 2017. Upon deliveries, Turkey will become the first NATO member-state that will get Russia’s S-400.

In an interview with a German newspaper in Berlin last week, Cavusoglu stated that Turkey was not against the idea to buy the Patriot system from the US if the Congress approves the sales.
