July 30, 2020Drágon Successfully Completed Shooting Tests
VCR 8 × 8 Drágon shooting tests, purchased by Spain for the use of marines, have been completed.
Two prototypes were used in the tests carried out in Almería. One of the platforms called D1 used the Elbit UT30MK2 turret, while the Samson MK2 developed by Rafael was used in the other armoured vehicle called D2.
In accordance with the requirements of Spain, the Swiss production piranha 5 platforms were changed.
The first 13 units of the vehicle are scheduled to be handed over to the security forces in 2021.
