Russia will complete the deliveries of Yak-130 aircraft to Myanmar this year, according to Mikhail Petukhov, deputy director of Russia's Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) explanations. Speaking at the International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition LIMA-2017, Petukhov said the first batch of three aircraft was handed over in 2016 and the contract is scheduled to be completed in 2017.
Myanmar placed an order of 10 Yak-130 trainers under a 2015 contract. Myanmar is the fourth foreign buyer of the Russian combat training aircraft which was also acquired by Algeria, Bangladesh and Belarus.
