DIA President Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir, in his post on his social media account after the earthquake, announced that Turkish defence industry companies are on alert for post-earthquake aid activities.
Many defence industry companies support search and rescue efforts with their products and solutions. Defense Industry Agency shared the defence industry technologies serving in the disaster area.
In the earthquake zone: 50 unmanned aerial vehicles, 78 underground imaging detection and analysis devices, behind-the-wall radar, more than 100 multicopter drones, 343 camera systems of various types and features; dent imaging device, stick camera, thermal camera, solar camera, collar camera are used. At the same time, the base station mounted on the UAV, which has been in service for more than 30 hours, was first used in the earthquake zone.
