April 12, 2017‘Centurion’ Trials To Begin
The UK Royal Air Force (RAF) will begin operational evaluation trials of Project ‘Centurion’ in July, which will see the service's Eurofighter Typhoons upgraded to Phase 2 Enhancement (P2E) and P3E packages. ‘Centurion’ involves the addition of the MBDA Meteor beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile (BVRAAM) and MBDA Storm Shadow cruise missile, and the P3E Brimstone air-to-surface anti-armor missile. Testing of P3E is to begin around May next year and expected to be completed by 28 December, 2018.
