Turkish Ministry of National Defence established a CBRN Defence Group. Yunus Emre Karaosmanoğlu, Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry of National Defence, announced  the CBRN Defence Department was established within the Ministry of National Defence during 9th Defence Technologies Congress held in Middle East Technical University in Ankara and some explanations were made.

In the speech, the CBRN Defense Group made a study in Turkey conducted within CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear) Defence capabilities of Turkey, made a inventory lists of buildings and Turkey's CBRN defence equipment. CBRN opportunities of Turkey were fully revealed. Following this listing work, TÜBİTAK MAM has prepared a report and within the light of this work, it has been stated that rebuilding of CBRN facilities accordance with today's conditions will start after the budgeting work to be done.
