Bulgaria Overhauls Attack Helicopters

Bulgaria's second overhauled Mi-24V ‘Hind’ attack helicopter has returned to service on 21 December. The 1986-produced helicopter's service life had extended until January 2021 when it will be grounded for inspection required to determine whether it is fit for another life-cycle extension which will allow operations until December 2024.

The first overhauled Mi-24 has re-entered service on 30 November 2015 and is scheduled to be grounded in February 2021 when its extended 35-year lifecycle is set to expire.
