Rosoboronexport revealed that it has begun promoting the latest variant of Buk medium-range surface-to-air missile (SAM) system for export. According to the company's deputy director Sergei Ladygin, the export variant of Buk-M3 possesses the ability to strike with a very high degree of probability [with] not only aviation and attacking precision-guided weapons, but also tactical ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as naval and ground targets. The M3 variant can engage six targets simultaneously and has a greater range of about 50 percent when compared to its predecessor.
