US has announced a new contract with BAE Systems. According to the agreement, the company will modernize eight Bradley infantry fighting vehicles used in the US Army Armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT). Within the scope of the agreement cost of 91.1 million USD, the modernization works will be completed in 2024.
The electronics of M2 Bradleys will be replaced within the scope of nodernization. Thus, the situational awareness of the vehicle will be increased. Communication network in ABCT will be increased. In addition, the vehicle's survivability will increase with additional belly armour and Bradley Urban Survivability Kit (BUSK).
