Australian government has released a Naval Shipbuilding Plan on 16 May, which supports the continuous build programme as a part of country's strategies. The plan covers enhancing shipbuilding infrastructure, developing workforce and a competitive local industrial base, and a promoting national collaborative approach. 

According to the plan, the government spared $965 million to modernise facilities in Adelaide, South Australia, and Perth, Western Australia. The shipbuilding industry will also employ more than 15 thousand personnel to meet the workforce requirement.
