Armenia is preparing to take delivery of Tor-M2 systems in the coming months. A TV program broadcasted in Armenia indicated that the Armenian Army would soon receive Tor-M2 short-range air defense systems. It is reported that the total amount of the systems exceeds USD 100 million in agreement which is signed in December 2017, some of this procurement paid by the Armenian budget.

Tor-M2, a short-range air defense system, draws attention with its ability to work in electronically jammed environments. The system can be used against air vehicles flying at low or medium altitudes, as well as against gliding munitions, unmanned aerial vehicles and airplanes.
