Scoring major successes in building and exporting patrol vessels each year, Chairman of the Antalya-based ARES Shipyard explained the background of their accomplishments.

ARES, completed and delivered the building of 11 vessels in 2017 and ranked the first in the history of the Turkish Republic by realising $126m military vessel exports. Conveying that the year 2017 has been a year filled with numerous vessel deliveries, records, awards and successes, ARES Chairman Kerim Kalafatoğlu summarised these awards as such: “Just at the very onset of the year, on January 25, 2017, TOBB (Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges) selected ARES as the ‘Fastest Gworing Company of Turkey.’ In its immediate aftermath, we were awarded by an Australia based international maritime institution, the ‘Best Patrol Boat Builder.’ The same institution also announced the ARES 110 HERCULES Fast Patrol Craft built for Qatar Ministry of Interior (MoI) as the Best Patrol Boat.”
