Antalya-based ARES Shipyard and Ankara-based Meteksan Defence Armed Unmanned Surface Vehicle (AUSV) introduced their ULAQ solution.
ARES General Manager Utku Alanç and Meteksan Defence General Manager Selçuk Alparslan attended the meeting held at Ankara Bilkent Hotel.
Alanç stated that the vehicle has a cruising range of 400 km, a speed of 65 km / h, and day/night visibility. Turkey's first AUSV manufactured with equity reconnaissance, surveillance, intelligence, Surface Warfare, Asymmetric Warfare, armed escort, force protection, Strategic facility will be ready for use in security tasks.
AUSV can be controlled from land vehicles and naval platforms.
According to the information provided, the design work of the vehicle ended in August and its structural production was completed. ULAQ is planned to be launched in December 2020. There will be four Cirit and two L-UMTAS produced by Roketsan on the ULAQ. The tests are planned to take place in the first quarter of 2021.
Speaking on behalf of ARES at the meeting, Alanç stated that they are proud to implement the first unmanned national combat vessel solution.
The Meteksan Alparslan speaking on behalf of Defence said that it is essential for the protection of the seas surrounding Turkey, said that the maximum local contribution by targeting the realized design.
