ANKA unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), developed and manufactured by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), has entered duty with Turkish Naval Forces.
ANKA UAV, which has been delivered to the navy under the scope of an agreement signed by Undersecreteriat for Defence Industries and TAI, is planned to operate in the Aegean airspace. The UAV carried out its first operational flight in the region on 27 March. The aircraft will be used for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions.
