Jointly developed by Iveco and BAE Systems for US Marine Corps (USMC), Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) 1.1 has undergone a two-day trial that the vehicle was launched and recovered by Italian Marines' ship in late March. Powered by a six-cylinder 700-hp FPT Industrial Cursor 16 engine, ACV 1.1 was developed under a 2015 contract. The vehicle was operated in Sea State 3 (0.5-1.25 m wave height) and travelled at up to 6 kt in the water.
ACV 1.1 offering is a fully amphibious, ship-launchable and ship-recoverable 8×8 wheeled combat vehicle.
