The Australia-based company DroneShield announced that the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of a Middle Eastern country had placed a USD3.2 million for 70 units of its DroneGun tactical jammer.
“This is the largest known order for tactical drone mitigation equipment of this kind globally [and] establishes DroneShield as the industry leader,” announcement said.
The statement did not identify the country, but said it is allied with Western governments and has one of the largest defence budgets in the world. It noted that the United States needed to approve the order but said this is expected in the next two months.
