January 30, 2018$500 Million Contract for THAAD
Lockheed Martin has been awarded a modification contract for additional Lot 10 Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) interceptors on 26 January, increasing the initial contract value to approximately $1,3 billion. Work under the contract is expected to be completed by 25 June 2021.
Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) is a transportable system that intercepts ballistic missiles inside or outside the atmosphere during their terminal phase of flight.Â
