ASELSAN’s Laser Guidance Kit (LGK) reinforces the strike power of the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) by converting existing general-purpose bombs into smart munitions. The proven LGK can be integrated into a wide family of aerial platforms, including the indigenous platforms KAAN and AKINCI.

A Critical Role on National Platforms: Wide Integration
LGK can be integrated into a wide family of aircraft, including modern and national platforms, thanks to its operational flexibility. Among the platforms on which the kit can be used are fundamental elements of the TSK inventory such as the F-16, F-4, KAAN, SU-25, HÜRKUŞ, AKINCI, AKSUNGUR, and ANKA-3. This wide integration makes the LGK a versatile standard in Turkey’s munition solutions.
LGK’s Battlefield Advantages
The LGK, which has proven performance on the battlefield, draws attention with its high strike accuracy against stationary or moving targets. This accuracy brings with it a low risk of collateral damage. The kit, in addition to its ability to operate in all conditions day and night, also offers the capability to strike targets of opportunity.
Furthermore, thanks to its high countermeasure resistance (electronic warfare resistance), it can maintain effectiveness even in challenging electronic environments and provides the ability to re-designate targets during carriage/flight.
Guidance Mechanism: Precise Operating Principle
At the core of the LGK’s guidance success lies the laser designator. The system detects the light reflected from the target by the laser designator.
