HAVELSAN has developed a total of 94 training products, consisting of 44 different types of open and semi-open mockups and simulators, to train the personnel of the ALTAY Main Battle Tank.
Comprehensive Training Content and Objectives
The training to be provided through these 94 allocated training products focuses on enhancing the personnel’s proficiency in critical systems. The main scope of the training is as follows:
- Introduction to and operation of components and subsystems,
- Demonstration and practical training for maintenance and troubleshooting activities,
- Emergency response and multi-mission scenario training.
Speed and Low Cost with VR Solutions
Modern technological solutions are actively utilized in the training process. Multimedia camera systems will allow all trainees to receive instruction simultaneously. In addition, the integrated virtual reality (VR) solutions will enable the training to be faster and more effective.
The company stated that, thanks to this simulator support, they aim to provide simultaneous and low-operating-cost training to a larger number of students without the operational cost of running the tank.
