Vietnam is working to convert out-of-inventory MiG-21 (Fishbed) aircraft into drones.
Vietnam has begun investigating how the drone will land. The drone to be developed is targeted for use in air defence exercises.
The MIG-21s were used against the United States in the Vietnam War.
