China has purchased 121 new helicopters from Russia, aviation group Rostec said in its newly released annual report. China has signed a contract with Rostec subsidiary JSC Russian Helicopters, which is set a “record” for the purchase of new helicopters in early 2019, the report said.
Under the contract, which includes the Chinese government and private organizations, Russia will deliver 68 Mi-171 general purpose helicopters, 18 Mi-171Sh helicopters, 14 VK-2500 engines and Mi-171 helicopters and 21 Ansat helicopters.
