Japan, which accelerated its submarine construction activities recently, announced that the 10th Sōryū class submarine was officially joined the navy. The platform was named JS Shōryū (SS-510). In the ceremony held in Kobe, the submarine was assigned to the Submarine Flotilla 1 in Kure, located in Hiroshima Prefecture.
The platform, built at Kawasaki Heavy Industries, has cost around $ 502 million. The displacement of the 84-meter-long submarine is 2950 tons. The platform equipped with air-independent propulsion
