Russia started to development of a new generation of frigates. Igor Ponomaryov, CEO of Severnaya Verf, Russia's Northern Shipyard, made a statement on the development of the Project 22350M class frigate.
The Project 22350M will be the more advanced version of the Project 22350 class frigates. In this way, the ship is planned to be capable of performing the missions of the guided missile destroyer. The Russian Navy plans to take over the first ship in 2026.
