The Republic of Korea will modernize the CH-47D Chinook helicopters. KAI and Rockwell Collins will collaborate for modernization.
MoU, which signed between Rockwell Collins and KAI, is aimed at technical cooperation on the design, modification and flight test phases of the modernization program. In the statement made by KAI, it is stated that the modernization agreement will be signed later this year after the details of the modernization program are determined.
