L3 Technologies unveiled its new Iver Precision Workhorse (Iver PW) autonomous undersea vehicle (AUV) at the 2018 Sea-Air-Space Exposition held between 9–11 April. Iver PW was designed for multi-domain intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), anti-submarine warfare (ASW), seabed warfare and mine warfare missions. The AUV has an extended range of 40-plus nautical miles on a single charge and includes an extended-range doppler velocity log, side-scan and bathymetric sonar.
