US Air Force has awarded Sierra Nevada Corp (SNC) a $1,808,000,000 contract for potential procurement, sustainment, modifications, ferry, and related equipment for the A-29 light air support attack aircraft.
SNC will perform the work at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia; and Kabul, Kandahar, and Mazari Sharif Air Bases, Afghanistan. Work is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2024, according to United States DoD release. The number of aircraft has not been specified.
