As Poland abandoned the procurement of Airbus Caracal Helicopters on Tuesday last week, the country re-started pursuit of multi-role helicopters. In a statement made on 10 October, Poland Defence Ministry said they were interested in Lockheed Martin’s Black Hawks which was Airbus’ competitor for the country’s helicopter acquisition and will start talks within this week. The number, type and estimated cost of the helicopters were not disclosed, however, ministry expects to receive the first delivery before the end of 2016.
